This year, on the last Sunday in May, the traditional festival of the opening of wells took place in the forest area near the wells of Vitulka and Barborka. The rainy clouds managed to disperse just before the start of the programme, and even the sun showed up.
Bohuslav Martinů’s cantata “Opening the Wells” under the direction of Mgr. Lucie Gregorovič Fárová was performed by the choir Continuo Pardubice. Afterwards, children from the choirs Bystřinka, Rozmarýnek and Children’s music Josefka performed a folklore band “At the cottage” and danced the whole forest with their skirts.
It was a really lovely celebration, after which the performers enjoyed refreshments and we look forward to seeing you again next May!
